The Department of Energy has approved the appliance rebate programs for the states and territories as of January 15, 2010. I would suggest that you visit the site just to see what your state has to offer the site list each state and what Appliances are eligible for the rebates or tax credits. These rebate's are being funded by $300 million dollars of taxpayers money from the American recovery and reinvestment act of 2009. Under this program, eligible consumers can receive rebates to purchase new energy-efficient appliances when they replace used appliances. Just something to think about remember this is your money that they are going to give you back so now is the time to take advantage of the savings that it can being your way not only in the rebates and tax credits but the saving that you will receive on your electric bill every month and if you are looking at buying a new washer there are washers out there that use as much as 70% less water then the old washers do that will add to your monthly savings. If you are looking for that new refrigerator just depending on how old yours is you can save up to $200 a year in energy cost. The Appliance program can include all your major Appliances in your home

There are also programs out there that will pay you to replace you window and doors to make your home more energy efficient. This is all happening at a time when you are looking at ways that you can save more money for other things that you need so don't just sit around and wait for this program to end and be left out of the saving do something now that will being you saving for years to come.
